Most airlines have grounded their fleets and operating airlines are experiencing high volumes of freight at this time. Worldwide, the logistics networks are strained and therefore space on both passenger and cargo flights is limited.
As a result, all operating airlines have significantly increased their freight costs, with rates increasing upwards on an hourly and daily basis.
Due to the above, we have reluctantly suspended automatic bookings for all worldwide door to airport shipments on the SkyBags website. If you require a ‘live’ quote to ship your personal effects on a door to airport service, please contact us and we will be able to help.
Please note, we are experiencing a high number of calls and emails. We ask you to be patient with the team at this time and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
All Express, European Road and UK Services are operating as normal.
Our express, road and UK are all operating as normal. Due to flight availability, re-routing and border closures delays are occurring at various destinations. We advise your check your tracking regularly to monitor the progress of your shipment.
Country Specific Updates
With immediate effect all airlines have cancelled flights into New Zealand therefore SkyBags have suspended all door to airport services to the country.
Please note, our Express door to door services are operating as normal to New Zealand.
With immediate effect all flights have been banned to Saudi Arabia from Europe therefore all SkyBags services to this destination have been suspended until further notice. We have storage services available until services resume.
Services are operating as normal, however there are still restrictions within the Hubei region. Please contact us for more information.
At the moment there has been no impact on the importation or exportation and services are resuming as normal. Operational schedules to/from Italy have been reviewed with many flight cancellations impacting space availability, this could cause delays in shipping.
From the 12th March 2020, President Trump has issued a travel ban between the USA and Europe. This has not affected the cargo shipments with the UK and the USA and therefore services will resume as normal.
Can I cancel my booking for a full refund?
When booking with SkyBags you are only required to pay a deposit before your collection takes place. If you cancel a booking before collection has been attempted, we will refund the deposit in full. However, if we have already collected your goods we can arrange to return them at no further cost or alternatively store them at our warehouse until service recommences at the prevailing storage rate.
